Annual essay competition Entry Due Prior to Oct 31st:

Everyone is strongly encouraged to complete your entry. Once you have finished your essay contact our CO, LTJG Rebecca Robinson-Bailey, and I’ll she will connect you with the point of contact for Post 9557.

Parents Volunteers needed (JAN TO APR):

As we prepare for next year's flagship competition, we are looking for several parents to help train our cadets for various events. We will provide you with the training you need to assist. Contact LTJG Sophie Doorbar for details

All training's have prerequisites. Be sure to read up on each training before submitting your request to either your LT Weissman (TS Sea Lions) or your SBB Training Officer , INST Rogers (Cadets only).

For Seal Beach Battalion cadets, you must be the one to request your training. Requests for orders will not be accepted from parents. Remember, this is your program, your responsibility.

Advance training's fill quickly and will only be on a first come, first qualify, first pay basis.

Check back often! New training events will be added to the schedule as they are approved. This process will continue daily until the beginning of the summer training period

Cadet ID Renewal information

When renewing your ID, please be sure you include the following items.

  • Current Health Exam
  • Copy of Insurance Card
  • Current Immunization Records: The following vaccinations are required: polio, measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, pertussis, tetanus, diphtheria, and meningitis.
  • Payment

US Naval Sea Cadet Corps

The US Naval Sea Cadet Corps is comprised of two programs. The Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC) is the junior program for young people ages 10-13. The Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) is the senior program for young people ages 14-17.
